Job Summary

Join the Akamai Storage Engineering team to ensure the reliability of an enterprise cloud storage platform. You’ll create and execute component-level automated tests across functionality, load, and performance, while refining test plans and improving testing/automation infrastructure. Work closely with developers, Systems QA, release engineers, architects, and program managers to incorporate feedback and deliver high-quality releases with global impact.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate in functional and product design reviews and incorporate feedback into test plans and test cases.
•Develop and implement automated tests for functionality, load, and performance.
•Create and execute tests for new features and capabilities.
•Collaborate with developers, Systems QA, release engineers, architects, and program managers to support releases.
•Improve testing and automation infrastructure by defining effective test plans and automation approaches.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
•Experience with storage technologies and cloud computing.
•Experience with Kubernetes/Docker and networking concepts such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
•Experience with Unix/Linux and building automation frameworks using Python (SQL/Couchdb is a bonus).
•Excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision while communicating effectively.
