Key Responsibilities

•Act as a Design Lead for elements of a project, liaising directly with clients and the wider design team for day-to-day design development under guidance from a Technical Lead/mentor.
•Manage more junior engineers in the design of infrastructure elements.
•Provide input to development of engineering budgets and programmes to meet requirements.
•Deliver high-quality tunnelling and underground structures design in line with project objectives.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering, and/ or MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics/ Geotechnical/ Tunnelling Engineering, with/working towards professional membership.
•Broad experience as a designer in Reinforced Concrete to Eurocodes for underground structures (secant piles, capping beams, segmental shaft linings, in situ concrete elements, D-Walls, shafts and tunnels).
•Civil or Structural Engineer with good familiarity of Geotechnical Engineering principles as they apply to soil-structure interaction
