Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and troubleshoot defective equipment using instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Document work using Repair Orders (RO) via company standards (including photos) and complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as higher certification/education or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license (Class C required).
