Job Summary

Lead and direct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) across energy and infrastructure projects, providing regulatory guidance, client advisory, and stakeholder engagement. Manage multi-disciplinary project teams, oversee recruitment, bidding, delivery, and financials, and help expand WSP’s environmental services from the Naas office in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide strategic direction and leadership for projects within Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
•Lead and deliver on recruitment, bidding, project team management, project delivery, and financial management for complex EIA projects.
•Expand and diversify the offer in energy and linear infrastructure by working with sector leads and client managers to win new business.
•Offer environmental advice and support to clients, project managers and colleagues to promote sustainable design.
•Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for resourcing, programming, strategy development and project delivery.

Key Requirements

•Relevant environmental / planning degree or equivalent experience.
•Demonstrable experience in EIA delivery for major energy or infrastructure schemes.
•In-depth knowledge of Irish planning legislation and EU directives; experience engaging with An Coimisiún Pleanála and public consultations.
•Proven ability to manage complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams, providing guidance and mentorship to other staff.
•Track record of leading client communications and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, regulators, and the public, with a strong understanding of public consultation and stakeholder engagement processes.
