Key Responsibilities

  • •Build Abridge’s privacy program and provide practical, product-focused counseling to Security, Product, and Engineering.
  • •Advise teams on privacy laws related to AI, machine learning, clinical data, product development, and responsible use of sensitive information.
  • •Help develop, maintain, and scale global privacy programs and governance standards.
  • •Support data sharing and ecosystem questions (first/third-party, vendors, partners, internal platform services) with governance and contractual expectations.
  • •Monitor privacy law changes and operationalize privacy policies, playbooks, templates, and training.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of experience across in-house or health tech/technology-focused law firm roles.
  • •Experience building and evaluating programs that ensure products comply with laws, regulations, and external commitments.
  • •Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare privacy requirements, plus CCPA/CPRA, biometric privacy laws, and U.S. state privacy/data security frameworks.
  • •Practical, risk-based approach to balancing legal, regulatory, business, and customer considerations.
  • •Juris Doctor degree and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
