Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide designs for telecommunications systems (intra-building structured cabling, telecom spaces, pathway infrastructure).
  • •Provide designs for electronic safety & security systems (IP video surveillance, access control, intercom) and healthcare systems (nurse call/paging).
  • •Coordinate with clients to gather and document system and design requirements, and create design narratives and construction documents.
  • •Manage project resources to complete deliverables on time and within budget; participate in and lead project/construction meetings.
  • •Perform site surveys, review and respond to technology system submittals and RFIs, and coordinate integration with other intelligent building systems (e.g., BMS, lighting control).

Key Requirements

  • •Possess a four-year degree (B.S. in engineering is preferred) or equivalent combination of technical degree and related work experience designing building technology systems.
  • •5-7 years’ experience actively designing high-performance systems for the AEC consulting and engineering industry.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills to organize and present design information to clients.
  • •Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • •Comfortable working directly with clients including federal and public clients; ability to uphold workplace safety and comply with company policies.
