Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, configure, administer, and analyze information security technologies, controls, and practices to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems and data.
  • •Continuously detect, monitor, alert, and report on security controls, exceptions, vulnerabilities, threats, risks, and incidents; support response and recovery activities.
  • •Partner with stakeholders across risk assurance, IT, and business teams to implement, align, and ensure compliance with security measures.
  • •Ensure security measures align with industry standards, best practices, and regulations; improve the information security operating rhythm and risk posture through maturity assessments, process/automation improvements, and capability development.
  • •Develop and present reports, metrics, dashboards, and evidence to leadership; support end-users and provide security awareness/outreach knowledge.
  • •Maintain currency on best practices, standards, frameworks, regulations, and emerging security threats; make recommendations to improve security posture and share relevant knowledge to inform, mentor, or train others.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., IT, MIS, Cyber Security, Risk Management) plus 2 years of related experience; or associate degree plus 4 years; or high school diploma plus 6 years of related experience.
  • •Completion of a relevant IT-career preparation program approved by ERIE if the degree is unrelated and/or experience is less.
  • •Foundational knowledge and skills in at least one Information Security discipline and at least one IT domain (analysis, engineering, or system administration).
  • •Experience with IT delivery or operational methodologies (agile delivery, SDLC, ITIL).
  • •Ability to participate in on-call rotations and work outside regular hours to support cyber event and incident handling if required.
