Job Summary

Lead global privacy strategy and the data protection program, serving as the designated Data Protection Officer for Europe. Own privacy governance across products, operations, and commercial motions, including DPIAs/PIAs, data subject rights, vendor privacy reviews, and cross-border transfers. Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Security, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to embed privacy by design, support enterprise engagements, and guide responsible AI governance and privacy incident response.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and lead global privacy and data protection strategy across priority markets, products, customers, and operating environments.
•Serve as designated Data Protection Officer for Europe and advise on privacy risk, regulatory change, and strategic trade-offs.
•Mature privacy program operations and governance, including privacy by design, policies, data retention/classification, cross-border transfer mechanisms, and data subject rights.
•Lead privacy incident readiness and response, including investigation support, breach assessment, regulatory notification analysis, remediation, and post-incident improvements.
•Partner with Product and Engineering to embed privacy by design in agile development and advise on responsible AI governance; lead or support privacy contract negotiations and enterprise due diligence.

Key Requirements

•15+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, technology law, regulatory advisory, or related legal and risk leadership roles, including significant in-house experience.
•Extensive expertise in GDPR and European data protection expectations, plus U.S. state privacy laws and Canadian privacy laws.
•Experience serving as a senior privacy leader or Data Protection Officer in a complex global technology environment.
•Advised Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, and go-to-market teams on privacy by design, data protection risk, product launches, and customer-facing commitments.
•Practical experience with PIAs, DPIAs, data mapping, transfer mechanisms, DPAs, SCCs, vendor risk, data subject rights, retention, and privacy incident response.
