Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the development and execution of complex computer fire and egress modeling projects, performance-based design analyses, smoke control analyses, and related fire protection and life safety strategies.
  • •Interface with other WSP team members, clients, and Building/Fire Officials to provide expert technical guidance and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • •Stay current with evolving building codes and contribute to company-wide strategies for code compliance across a range of occupancy types.
  • •Maintain a deep understanding of industry best practices, codes, regulations, and emerging trends in fire protection and life safety engineering to ensure project excellence.
  • •Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies and technological advancements to enhance the quality of fire protection and life safety solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • •Experience with FDS, CONTAM, and Pathfinder modeling
  • •EIT or FE Certification
  • •3-5 years of proven experience in the fire protection and life safety industry
  • •Deep understanding of Building and Fire Codes, Standards, and Regulations (IBC, NFPA, UFC, OBO, etc.)
