Job Summary

Serve as a senior electrical engineer and joint leader within an MEP discipline team supporting federal programs. Develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and bases of design for facilities and infrastructure from inception through completion. Coordinate with government, owners, other disciplines, sub-consultants, vendors, and clients; review permit applications and design documents; and mentor electrical staff. Lead larger-scale electrical projects and supervise detailed design work while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide senior engineering leadership and design/technical advice within an MEP discipline team on a range of projects.
•Develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and basis of design, coordinating across disciplines and stakeholders.
•Support design and construction oversight, including permit/application review, plans/specs review, and periodic construction inspections.
•Lead larger-scale electrical engineering projects and supervise the completion of detailed designs and the work of others.
•Mentor staff and execute technical aspects with minimal supervision, including designs for systems such as lighting, power, grounding, lightning protection, and signal systems; travel to sites as required.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited) or equivalent.
•10+ years of post-education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for capital projects of varying size.
•Professional Engineering registration.
•US citizenship required due to client requirements.
•Expert knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 101, and NFPA 780, plus proficiency with tools such as Revit/AutoCAD and power analysis software.
