Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain an effective process control system by analyzing requirements, implementing hardware/software, ensuring system security, and maintaining documentation.
  • •Communicate with operating, technical, and maintenance groups to ensure optimum utilization of resources.
  • •Implement and maintain statistical process control as appropriate.
  • •Improve process control and instrumentation by evaluating new technology, recommending cost-effective implementations, and coordinating with suppliers and other operations.
  • •Implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program and demonstrate safe work practices in compliance with safety policy.

Key Requirements

  • •Working knowledge of PLC hardware and PLC programming, including Allen Bradley, with PLC-5 knowledge considered an asset.
  • •Working knowledge of HMI programming, including FactoryTalk or Wonderware Intouch.
  • •Working knowledge of OSIsoft PI historian (or equivalent historian database experience).
  • •Working knowledge of PID control and advanced process control using Metso OCS-4D software.
  • •Knowledge of electrical systems and instrumentation with strong troubleshooting skills, plus basic database/computer programming and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows.
