Key Responsibilities

  • •Support remediation, mining, civil infrastructure, solid waste, and water-supply projects.
  • •Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of hydrogeologists, geologists, geochemists, geotechnical engineers, and groundwater modelers across Canada and internationally.
  • •Design and implement hydrogeological assessments, including drilling, monitoring well installation, sampling, aquifer testing, borehole instrumentation, and contractor management.
  • •Compile, manage, and analyze geoscientific data in a digital database and GIS environment; prepare technical reports based on literature and field investigations.
  • •Develop graphical 2D/3D conceptual hydrogeological models and evaluate complex datasets; travel as required for field programs and project needs.

Key Requirements

  • •B.Sc. (or higher) in earth sciences, geology, hydrogeology, or a related engineering discipline.
  • •Valid unrestricted British Columbia driver’s license.
  • •Preferred: M.Sc. (or higher) in earth sciences, geology, hydrogeology, or a related engineering discipline.
  • •Preferred: Eligible to register as a member in training (GIT or EIT) with Professional Geoscientist or Engineer with EGBC.
  • •0-2 years of experience conducting geological, hydrogeological and/or geochemical investigations, including GIS/database tools (e.g., EQuIS, OpenGround, acQuire) and Microsoft Word/Excel.
