Key Responsibilities

•Lead and supervise the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care, diagnosing, managing, and treating patients within the post holder's specialty.
•Conduct patient examinations, take detailed histories, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe therapies, and develop comprehensive treatment plans, including ward rounds for inpatient and outpatient care.
•Oversee the clinical activities of junior medical staff (specialists, GP’s and Residents) and participate in instruction and supervision.
•Liaise with other medical specialties and support services; participate in multi-disciplinary meetings for holistic patient care.
•Participate in and ensure on-call coverage on a rotational basis (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays).
•Document clinical information accurately, comply with hospital/DOH policies, infection control, and patient safety standards.

Key Requirements

•MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school, followed by structured specialty training (e.g., North American/European Board Certification, Fellowship of a Royal College, or equivalent DOH-approved qualification); postgraduate qualifications such as MD, MS, or DNB generally required.
•3-7 years of post-specialty clinical experience in a multidisciplinary setting.
•Eligibility for or a valid DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi; includes Primary Source Verification (PSV), DOH license exam, and a good standing certificate.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to continuing medical education (CME/CPD).
•Fluency in English; additional language skills are an asset.
