Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide practical privacy, data protection, digital and AI legal advice to teams and functions across Bupa.
  • •Support teams with Data Protection Impact Assessments, Legitimate Interest Assessments, and review of Data Processing Agreements and intra-group agreements.
  • •Develop and maintain Bupa’s Enterprise Privacy Policy, standards, governance and reporting.
  • •Stay up to date with changes in privacy law, digital regulation and external best practice.
  • •Support privacy-by-design for new technology, data and AI solutions, and build privacy awareness via briefings, guidance and training.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience as a legal or privacy professional with specialist knowledge of privacy, data, digital and AI law or regulation.
  • •A legal qualification or professional privacy certification (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPP/M or equivalent) would be desirable.
  • •Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, including data protection and AI terms.
  • •Ability to turn complex legal topics into clear, practical, timely advice for different audiences.
  • •Experience implementing policies, procedures, governance and reporting in a global setting.
