Job Summary

Protect Wise and its customers by analyzing and synthesizing threat signals collected through the Intelligence Collection Framework. Develop preventative controls and detective rules, engineer detection features, and use kill-chain modeling to map fraud and financial crime vectors end-to-end. Partner cross-functionally to execute response strategies, quantify emerging threats with large-scale data, and provide data-driven insights that evolve the TIU’s investigative and collection direction.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze signals from the Intelligence Collection Framework to assess Wise’s exposure to fraud and financial crime vectors and quantify emerging threats using large-scale data.
•Engineer and deploy detection rules and behavioral features in response to tactical Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) to protect customers and identify at-risk accounts.
•Use structured kill-chain modeling to map fraud vectors end-to-end and identify strategic intervention and mitigation points across the attack lifecycle.
•Partner with business units to design and execute response strategies, moving from immediate tactical fixes to long-term strategic changes.
•Provide data-driven insights to guide the future direction of the Intelligence Collection Framework and support investigative work tracking malicious actor activity.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 75,000 - 115,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Significant experience in fraud and/or financial crime analysis with a deep technical understanding of attack typologies and their impact across customer segments.
•Experience developing counter-fraud strategies, including creating, testing, and deploying detection rules, models, and features, and influencing stakeholders.
•A counter-adversarial mindset for risk detection and threat modeling using advanced analytical approaches.
•Proficiency extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large-scale datasets using SQL, Python, or similar data science methods to produce structured outputs.
•Ability to communicate complex threat technicalities to diverse audiences, including engineering/analytical teams and product, policy, and executive stakeholders.
