Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and own ESD architecture and protection strategy for high-speed I/O portfolios (HBM/DDR/LPDDR PHY and interfaces like PCIe, USB, Ethernet, MIPI).
  • •Lead ESD–I/O co-design trade-offs, including aggressive ESD targets and related architectural choices (snapback clamps, rail clamps, diode steering networks).
  • •Perform and guide ESD circuit design, transient stress modeling (TLP-equivalent behavior), and drive correlation between SPICE simulations, TLP/VF‑TLP, and silicon results.
  • •Lead silicon-level ESD failure analysis and root cause analysis for HBM/CDM failures, including leakage, performance degradation, latch-up, and substrate-coupling issues.
  • •Serve as the ESD SME and technical authority for ESD design reviews and signoff; mentor engineers and standardize reusable ESD IP, methodologies, and layout/signoff flows.

Key Requirements

  • •B.Tech / M.Tech / PhD in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related fields.
  • •15+ years of hands-on experience in ESD circuit design and protection architecture, and high-speed I/O or mixed-signal chip environments.
  • •Expertise in ESD requirements for HBM, CDM, and MM, including latch-up mechanisms and high-speed signal integrity fundamentals.
  • •Strong capability in SPICE-based simulation and ESD signoff flows, with experience correlating SPICE, TLP/VF‑TLP, and silicon results.
  • •Proven leadership in ESD technical decisions and driving production silicon success across aggressive ESD and performance targets.
