Job Summary

Build and maintain finance data pipelines in Databricks’ Finance DataLake, including validation, reconciliation, and secure data access. Develop AI-assisted tools that automate manual Finance workflows, detect anomalies, and enhance reporting. Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Internal Audit, and Procurement to deliver well-documented solutions, dashboards, and self-service analytics. Own data reliability for financial close, support integrations through UAT, and use Git-based CI/CD to meet SOX change management requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and maintain finance data pipelines in the Finance DataLake, including data validation and reconciliation logic using Databricks Jobs and Lakeflow Spark Declarative Pipelines.
•Develop and iterate on AI-assisted tools for Finance and Accounting, including workflow automation, anomaly detection, and reporting enhancements.
•Contribute to Finance application development (Databricks Apps, Genie Spaces, dashboards) to enable self-service analytics.
•Build and maintain reporting dashboards for monthly, quarterly, and executive-level reporting, including implementing row-level security and data access policies.
•Support financial close by monitoring pipelines, investigating data issues, and escalating as needed; participate in UAT for system integrations and assist with technical documentation.

Key Requirements

•7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or finance systems.
•Proficiency in SQL and Python for pipeline development; hands-on experience with Apache Spark or the Databricks platform.
•Experience connecting to and ingesting from financial source systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Stripe, Zuora, or similar.
•Working knowledge of finance and accounting concepts, including close processes, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
•Ability to translate Finance requirements into clean, maintainable technical solutions while communicating comfortably across technical and non-technical audiences.
