Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform civil engineering design and analysis for transportation projects, including roadway alignments, grading, drainage, utilities, and related infrastructure.
  • •Develop engineering plans, specifications, technical reports, calculations, cost estimates, and other deliverables.
  • •Assist with roadway and highway design for UDOT and local agency projects, including construction, reconstruction, widening, and intersection improvements.
  • •Prepare and review design plans and support plan sets, quantities, specifications, and construction documents.
  • •Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and provide construction support such as field visits, site assessments, and construction observations.

  • •Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.

  • •Experience with Bentley Open Roads Designer (ORD) and/or other civil engineering design software.
  • •Familiarity with UDOT, local agency, AASHTO, MUTCD, or other applicable transportation design standards.
