Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, compile, and analyze data from sites, surveys, blueprints, schematics, and specifications to support drafting and design activities.
  • •Use 3D CAD software and coordinate with engineers to resolve design details and prepare precise drawings for moderate complexity projects.
  • •Follow standard practices to ensure proper illustration and function using geometric dimensioning, tolerances, and quantity calculations; ensure designs meet specifications.
  • •Verify calculations and interpretation of contract plans; escalate any discrepancies or technical problems as needed.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure plans adhere to city codes, state/federal regulations, and client standards.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma and a minimum of 7 years of post-education drafting and design support experience.
  • •Knowledge of drafting and design principles, practices, processes, methods and techniques, plus relevant codes, regulations and record-keeping requirements.
  • •Ability to perform technical calculations involving geometry and measurements, and to interpret plans and specifications to standards or regulations.
  • •Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team and manage multiple priorities.
  • •Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, math principles, spreadsheets, and related tools; capable of critical thinking and problem solving.
