Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and deliver the Mexico insurance strategy and end-to-end business plan (product, distribution, customer experience, and operational capabilities).
  • •Drive financial performance, including insurance P&L accountability, profitability drivers, reserving, capital/solvency (as applicable), and reinsurance optimization.
  • •Lead bancassurance distribution agenda with Bank stakeholders, ensuring responsible selling, suitability controls, training/certification, and documentation standards.
  • •Oversee first-line risk management, compliance and conduct outcomes, including controls, audit/compliance remediation, and control self-assessments.
  • •Define and run an effective operating model and resilience approach within the bank environment, strengthening claims operations, productivity, and transformation through digitisation.

Key Requirements

  • •Define and execute the 3–5 year Mexico insurance strategy across Life, Health and PPR aligned to Group and country priorities.
  • •Own end-to-end business planning including product roadmap, distribution strategy and customer experience capabilities.
  • •Ensure full accountability for the Mexico insurance P&L, including premium growth, profitability, expense discipline and unit economics.
  • •Provide first-line risk management and controls across underwriting, pricing, claims, reserving, reinsurance, operational/model/third-party risk and conduct risk.
  • •Build and lead a high-performing insurance leadership team with succession planning and strong customer-and-control mindset.
