Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive root cause investigations down to the electrical component and PCB fabrication level and land corrective actions as process or design updates.
  • •Collect, manage, and analyze failure and field data to quantify population-level impact and trends.
  • •Work cross-functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, and Production Operations to keep builds on plan and surface issues threatening the build schedule.
  • •Implement design and process changes to improve yield, reliability, and manufacturability, including evaluating supplier PCNs and updating designs as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • •8+ years of professional experience in hardware product development, sustainment, or manufacturing engineering.
  • •Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, fishbone, FMEA).
  • •Deep understanding of fabrication and assembly-level failure analysis methods, including CT scan, X-ray, visual inspection, cross-sectioning, and SEM image analysis.
  • •Ability to read and interpret schematics and apply best practices, including familiarity with Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, and USB.
