Job Summary

Drive strategic supply network development and cost management for product hardware across its lifecycle. Own supplier selection, NPI component procurement, and BOM risk/qualification planning to scale manufacturing with suppliers and internal teams. Develop and execute sourcing strategy using market knowledge, supplier rationalization, pricing plans, CAPEX verification, and value-stream mapping. Lead cost engineering to converge the bottoms-up cost curve and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct supplier selection for specific products using the approved supplier list.
•Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development, including concept scoping, trade studies, TCO modeling, and joint design development via statements of work.
•Develop and execute sourcing strategy, including supplier rationalization, commodity pricing, CAPEX requests/verification, and NPI component procurement.
•Consolidate and manage manufacturing BOM development with Quality and Manufacturing, including value-stream mapping and BOM risk assessment.
•Lead cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost and manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and import/export costs.

Key Requirements

•Background in design and development of mechanical and/or electronics devices.
•Experience with advanced sourcing activities, including roles as a commodity/sourcing manager.
•Supplier development and early supplier engagement ahead of product/engineering requirements.
•Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or related technical degree, and must be eligible to obtain an Australian NV1 clearance.
