Job Summary

Provide technical leadership and hands-on structural design for complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects across bids, concept, detailed design, construction support, and technical assurance. Mentor engineers, guide technical delivery to balance quality, programme, and budget, and advise clients and project teams. Also contribute to business development through proposals and identifying opportunities to grow the water business.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver structural design solutions for complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects with multidisciplinary teams.
•Serve as a hands-on technical lead across the full project lifecycle, from bids and concept design through detailed design, construction support, and technical assurance.
•Balance technical quality, programme, and budget using sound engineering judgement to help projects succeed.
•Build trusted relationships with clients and project teams, providing technical advice to support successful outcomes.
•Mentor and support developing engineers while contributing to proposal preparation and technical input for business development.

Key Requirements

•Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field.
•Proven experience in structural engineering, ideally within the water industry.
•Demonstrated experience leading technical delivery and mentoring engineering teams.
•Strong knowledge of Australian structural design standards and experience with structural analysis software such as SpaceGass and/or Strand7.
•Chartered (CPEng) registration is highly regarded.
