Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build backend microservices for secure, scalable connected-vehicle and fleet infrastructure end to end, including data model, service, API contract, interface, instrumentation, and post-launch operations.
  • •Build platform user surfaces including the customer-facing web app, developer/partner portals, admin/configuration consoles, and internal fleet and operations tooling.
  • •Improve core platform infrastructure across API design, database schema, service interactions, event handling, observability, and deployment workflows, including shared services like API gateway, caching, authentication, and schema migrations.
  • •Develop integrations with external services and partner platforms by designing maintainable contracts over time.
  • •Ensure production readiness with automated testing, performance monitoring, and safe deployment practices, while establishing frontend foundations (component patterns, UI primitives, data-fetching conventions).

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years building and operating production backend services you designed, including strong service boundaries and API design depth (REST/GraphQL/gRPC) with versioning and backward compatibility.
  • •Experience with data modeling and schema design across relational and non-relational stores, including live migrations, plus practical AWS exposure across compute, storage, data, and identity.
  • •Production event-driven architecture experience (Kafka, SQS/SNS, Redis or similar), and containers/orchestration (Docker in production, Kubernetes or equivalent).
  • •Hands-on security/auth experience using OAuth2/OIDC/JWT/mTLS, with real production ownership including on-call, debugging under pressure, and reliability/performance instincts.
  • •Expert TypeScript/Node.js with a modern component framework (React preferred) and depth in building fast, dense data interfaces (tables, dashboards, filtering, real-time state).
