Job Summary

Lead the regulatory compliance framework for Payward Europe Solutions Ltd (PESL), the EU crypto asset services provider. Own ongoing CASP license compliance, oversee compliance monitoring, and ensure governance, controls, policies, and reporting meet Irish and EU requirements (including MiCA and AMLR). Build trust-based regulator relationships, guide the PESL Board with compliance/advisory support, and partner across product, design, engineering, and operations to launch compliant offerings using automation and AI where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead PESL’s regulatory compliance framework to ensure effective systems, controls, governance, and reporting for Irish and EU requirements.
•Oversee the implementation of new regulatory requirements (including AMLR/Regulation (EU) 2024/1624) and manage horizon scanning.
•Oversee the Compliance Monitoring Programme and develop, implement, and operationalise compliance policies and procedures for MiCA, AMLR, AML, and other relevant regulations.
•Provide compliance advisory support to the PESL Board on new and existing regulations, operational performance, and policy/procedure compliance.
•Act as a trusted partner to product, design, engineering, and other teams; review product risk assessments and materials for regulatory compliance and deliver compliance training programs for Irish/EU requirements.

Key Requirements

•Significant senior compliance experience in a managerial position at a regulated crypto exchange or payments firm, MiFiD investment firm, MTF, or bank.
•Experience leveraging technology/automation to scale regulatory compliance programs.
•Experience implementing EU markets and traditional finance rules and managing relationships with regulators.
•Experience in relation to CJA and CASP registrations, and managing complex global compliance projects.
•Strong risk analysis and judgment, with executive presence to influence conduct and present to executives and the board.
