Key Responsibilities

  • •Inspect wheeled vehicles and trailers during turn-in to verify condition, serviceability, and compliance with Army standards.
  • •Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and brake system malfunctions; perform PMCS using Army standards.
  • •Conduct corrective and preventive maintenance on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, electrical, braking, lubrication, filters, tires, and parts as required.
  • •Document findings and maintenance actions accurately using DA forms and automated records; maintain maintenance logs for audit readiness.
  • •Follow Army, OSHA, HAZMAT, spill prevention, and environmental safety requirements while supporting turn-in operations coordination.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training in vehicle mechanics preferred.
  • •3–5 years of motor vehicle maintenance experience, with U.S. Army tactical/non-tactical vehicle experience strongly preferred.
  • •Familiarity with U.S. Army maintenance procedures, PMCS, and technical manuals (TMs).
  • •Knowledge of Army maintenance regulations (AR 750-1, DA PAM 750-8) and logistics systems such as GCSS-Army.
  • •Valid driver’s license (Army OF 346 military driver’s license preferred) and must have a Real ID; able to travel within the US if/when required.
