Key Responsibilities

•Develop and implement data governance frameworks tailored to Human Capital data and establish a Data Governance forum to report progress, escalate risks, and drive remediation.
•Lead stakeholder engagement and training; provide updates to the Human Capital organization and run training sessions to disseminate governance practices and data literacy.
•Manage data quality and stewardship activities; monitor data quality metrics and coordinate with data stewards and engineers to resolve issues; oversee metadata/cataloging in Alation and data tagging.
•Classify data by sensitivity (PII, Confidential) and ensure compliance with legal, privacy, and contractual obligations; collaborate with Legal, Privacy and Compliance to meet data usage and storage requirements; implement data lifecycle and retention policies.
•Communicate progress, impacts, and training resources to stakeholders; support data initiative prioritization and maintain documentation to facilitate data governance adoption.

Key Requirements

•8+ years experience in financial services or insurance and Human Capital data governance is advantageous
•Proven ability to lead data governance programs, establish frameworks, and manage data quality (accuracy, completeness, consistency)
•Experience coordinating with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance to meet data usage and storage requirements
•Strong stakeholder management and training skills, with ability to simplify complex information and run training sessions
•Experience maintaining metadata and data catalogs (e.g., Alation) and implementing data lifecycle/retention policies
