Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive the design and delivery of the Forge Cognition edge computing initiative as a senior developer.
  • •Define and own edge architecture patterns for distributed, resource-constrained, and intermittently connected environments.
  • •Architect and operationalize workloads on Google Distributed Cloud (edge and/or hosted).
  • •Design, build, and scale Kubernetes-based deployments for edge and cloud, including leading cloud & hybrid scalability and resilience.
  • •Build Ansible-based automation and core Python services for provisioning, configuration, fleet operations, IoT connectivity, telemetry ingestion, and device lifecycle management; support architecture review boards and mentor engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience as an Edge/Cloud Architect/Developer designing distributed/edge computing systems.
  • •Hands-on Ansible expertise (playbooks, roles, automation at scale).
  • •Expert-level Python development skills with production-grade Kubernetes experience (cluster design, operators, networking, security, troubleshooting).
  • •Hands-on experience with Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) or comparable distributed cloud/edge platforms, plus practical IoT experience (device management, connectivity protocols, telemetry/data pipelines).
  • •Ability to act as a lead/principal architect and translate complex requirements into technical designs, roadmaps, and implementation plans.
