Manager, Underwriting - Life

Lead the Life Underwriting team responsible for mortality risk assessment and morbidity risk management for long-term care insurance. Oversee underwriting operations, including approving, modifying, or declining applications based on medical and non-medical information. Manage hiring, coaching, performance management, and talent development for 10–12 underwriters. Drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with state/federal regulations, partner with Sales, and manage budgets and underwriting decision escalations.
