Job Summary

Safely perform a variety of construction labor tasks to support highway, utility, grade crews, and on-site plant operations. Work may include preparing ground for road building, setting up fencing/barricades, handling manholes and water lines, assisting paver/asphalt work, trench and pipe installation support, and plant labor duties such as feeding stockpiles and maintaining equipment. Work is carried out per supervisor instructions and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely perform highway labor tasks, including preparing ground surfaces, removing debris, operating ground compactors, and setting markers and safety controls.
•Assist utility work by preparing trenches, supporting pipe and shoring setup, guiding and connecting pipes, and operating laser level/pipe lasers.
•Support grade labor by performing groundwork, cutting concrete, replacing sewer/manhole/sump castings, and assisting grading tasks.
•Assist crusher/plant operations by performing machinery setup/take down, cleanup, light repairs/maintenance tasks, and keeping equipment areas clear.
•Perform other laborer duties such as using hand and power tools, delivering/picking up materials, jobsite cleanup, and assisting with flagging/traffic control as needed.
