Job Summary

Lead systems engineering and safety assurance work for UK rail projects within the Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance team. Develop system engineering plans, system definitions, technical requirements, and architectures, and manage technical requirements using tools such as DOORS and ComplyPro. Serve as a senior technical resource, evaluate system requirements vs. design, contribute to studies and specifications, and support multi-disciplinary reviews, quality control, budgeting, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop systems engineering plans and processes, including system definitions, technical requirements, and system architectures
•Manage technical requirements using tools and techniques such as DOORS and ComplyPro, and develop systems engineering processes to support customer requirements
•Evaluate interrelationships between system requirements and design/development requirements; develop scope of works and work packages and act as senior technical resource
•Provide specialized technical input to studies and design within area of expertise and develop study/design procedures for high-quality, cost-effective work
•Participate in multi-disciplinary reviews of deliverables; perform quality control on design calculations/drawings; prepare technical specification sections; support estimates, budgets, and schedules

Key Requirements

•Engineering degree or equivalent
•Chartered Engineer
•Experience in railway systems safety and assurance, including system safety and interoperability
•Knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and regulations
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
