Key Responsibilities

  • •Handle petroleum product movements in and out of pipeline pump stations, including storage and custody transfer activities.
  • •Routinely inspect pumps and valves for proper operation.
  • •Perform accurate quality and quantity measurement of crude oil and report results according to Plains procedures.
  • •Complete monthly DOT tankage inspections, fire extinguisher inspections, and maintain associated records.
  • •Inspect perimeter fencing/locks and ensure routine DOT compliance maintenance on ROW, equipment, and valves while maintaining communications with the Pipeline Control Center.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Pipeline knowledge and experience to manage pump station, pipeline, and lease crude oil shipping responsibilities in compliance with government regulations.
  • •Ability to read and comprehend technical operational manuals.
  • •Basic math and computer/PC skills, including ability to calculate fluid flow and perform batch scheduling and sampling.
  • •Must have a valid driver’s license and complete required Haz-Mat training and meet minimum DOT requirements.
