Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the primary language resource for English voice AI, handling language-specific quality decisions and questions.
  • •Coordinate with annotators by answering guideline questions, cascading rubric updates, and holding office hours and calibration meetings.
  • •Audit datasets for linguistic accuracy, completeness, and consistency, and monitor annotation quality using QA metrics (e.g., inter-rater agreement).
  • •Assess audio and speech outputs by listening to annotator-rated audio and evaluating TTS pronunciation, prosody, and naturalness against ground truth/rubrics.
  • •Investigate customer-reported language issues, identify root causes, and write QA reports with examples and recommendations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 30 - 45 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Native-level proficiency in English as spoken in the US.
  • •Experience with data annotation, transcription, or language quality assurance.
  • •Strong foundation in linguistics and the ability to apply phonetics, prosody, and intonation concepts to evaluate speech and writing annotations.
  • •Strong written English proficiency and the ability to create clear, structured instructions and actionable feedback.
  • •Ability to work with data and metrics such as inter-rater agreement scores, audit spreadsheets, and feedback templates.
