Key Responsibilities

•Lead transceiver micro-architecture definition, including modeling, simulation, implementation, and verification (Tx DSP/Rx DSP, CDR, adaptation, calibration).
•Mentor junior engineers on implementation tasks to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and milestones.
•Conduct peer reviews of design and verification results.
•Work with pre-tapeout verification and post-silicon validation teams to bring up silicon and analyze volume productization data.
•Drive architecture for 100 GBPS or higher transceivers (as applicable).

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 163,800 - 280,800 annually

Key Requirements

•Ph.D. in electrical engineering (or related) with relevant industrial experience, or an M.S. with relevant optical and/or electrical transceiver design experience.
•Strong background in analog/mixed-signal circuit design and architecture for ultra-high-speed electrical and/or optical PHYs.
•Ability to lead transceiver micro-architecture definition, including modeling, simulation, implementation, and verification.
•Experience modeling and specifying analog circuit impairments and fixed-point micro-architecture for optimal PPA.
•Excellent communication and documentation skills.
