Key Responsibilities

  • •Establish and lead a lean natural gas trading team to originate, structure, and execute physical and financial natural gas transactions.
  • •Develop and execute natural gas directional, spread, physical, and financial trading strategies to reduce supply risk and ensure on-time delivery.
  • •Identify pricing inefficiencies and manage trading P&L across tenors, hubs, pipelines, storage, and products.
  • •Manage positions based on fundamental/technical/weather/fuel-emissions/regulatory/operational signals while maintaining risk discipline and trade execution.
  • •Recruit, mentor, and scale traders and analysts; manage trading floor transactions and ensure compliance within applicable regulatory frameworks (including CFTC/FERC or equivalent).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in natural gas or energy commodity trading.
  • •Experience with material cost control and/or energy markets analysis.
  • •Engineering or finance-related experience working with energy commodities.
  • •Strong knowledge of US and/or global natural gas markets, including pipeline/storage optimization and physical and financial trading.
  • •Proficiency analyzing large datasets using advanced Excel, SQL, PowerBI, and preferably Python (or similar tools).
