Job Summary

Lead and manage Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements across cruise terminal operations and public marina facilities. Drive risk control for high-footfall passenger environments, vessel interfaces, and waterfront activities, while ensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi regulatory requirements and ISO 45001/ISO 14001. Oversee incident management, emergency preparedness with external responders, contractor safety via PTW, environmental compliance, and HSE performance reporting to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan, direct, and control HSE activities for cruise terminal operations and public marina facilities to keep risks ALARP.
•Manage safe passenger embarkation/disembarkation, vessel access, waterfront operations, crowd movement, and work near water (e.g., gangway risks, slips, trips, falls).
•Oversee marina operations including vessel movements, berthing, fueling, and maintenance on jetties/pontoons to prevent collisions, spills, fire hazards, and drowning risks.
•Manage contractors and third parties using Permit to Work (PTW), including review of risk assessments and method statements.
•Lead HSE incident management and emergency preparedness/response coordination with external services; submit HSE performance reports and oversee environmental compliance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree, Higher Diploma or Diploma in Engineering/Science/HSE.
•NEBOSH Diploma or IGC (mandatory) and a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent HSE achievement certificate.
•AD EHS Practitioner Certificate.
•8–10 years of experience in HSE management roles, preferably in cruise terminals, public infrastructure, or marine operations.
•Preferably have a Lead Auditor Certificate for OHSAS 18001/ISO 14001, and relevant certificates such as COSHH, Advance First Aid, HSE Risk Management, and Control of Major Accident Hazards.
