Job Summary

Provide specialist care to women across prenatal, natal, and post-natal periods, including assessment, monitoring, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Perform surgical procedures such as Cesarean sections, conduct well-women examinations and Papanicolaou screening, and lead follow-ups. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and supervise relevant medical staff. Ensure compliance with OSH and Prevention & Control of Infection (PCI) policies and maintain accurate patient records.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide care for women during prenatal, natal, and post-natal periods, including monitoring progress and re-evaluating treatments.
•Perform Cesarean sections and other surgical procedures as needed, and provide birth-related care such as inducing labor and emergency surgery.
•Interview patients, maintain medical records, conduct well-women exams (including pap smears), and perform Papanicolaou screening to prevent cervical cancer.
•Order and analyze tests and screenings to diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments and medications, and explain procedures and results to patients and families.
•Comply with OSH and PCI requirements, including risk assessments, hand hygiene standards, and participating in OSHMS audits and inspections.

Key Requirements

•Qualified and licensed medical practitioner.
•At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience at consultant level (independent of country).
•At least 1 year consultant-level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.
•Basic medical degree and completion of higher education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
•Active and valid life support certification (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP) with certification/registration in a recognised speciality.
