Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient backend platform services and internal developer tooling using Go, Kubernetes, MongoDB, and GCP
  • •Own outcomes end to end by partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering from technical design through production delivery and operation
  • •Lead technical design and planning for platform initiatives and author/review architecture decision records (own architecture direction across multiple pods at Staff level)
  • •Apply advanced AI-assisted engineering practices to plan, implement, test, debug, and code review while validating and explaining every change
  • •Uphold engineering quality through rigorous code review, automated testing, and performance monitoring; debug production issues and participate in an on-call rotation; mentor engineers and influence standards platform-wide

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years (Senior) or 10+ years (Staff) building and operating scalable backend software in production with growing technical ownership
  • •Hands-on backend expertise with Go, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • •Experience with MongoDB and building or integrating authentication/authorization systems such as OAuth
  • •Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design
