Key Responsibilities

  • •Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules, and applicable insurance laws and regulations.
  • •Analyze and underwrite new and renewal construction casualty business in the U.S., qualifying accounts to meet underwriting appetite.
  • •Develop and maintain relationships with line of business representatives and distributors (agents and brokers) to determine insurance needs and provide solutions.
  • •Support sales culture by acting as a help point for agents, brokers, and customers, and proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
  • •Complete opportunity assessments with key distributors, make planned broker/customer and on-sight calls, and identify growth opportunities.

Salary: USD 62,900 - 130,300 annually

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent plus 1+ years of insurance/market-facing experience, or 2+ years in claims/underwriting support (Underwriter level).
  • •High school diploma or equivalent plus 3+ years of underwriting/market-facing experience, or 6+ years in claims/underwriting support (Underwriting Specialist level).
  • •Knowledge of the insurance industry plus legal and regulatory underwriting guidelines and national/local filing regulations.
  • •Experience assessing risk and evaluating accounts against appetite, including quote time restraints for new and renewal business.
  • •Experience with Microsoft Office; Bachelor’s degree and construction underwriting/broker relationships in the South region are preferred.
