Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead data-driven root cause analysis for equipment failures, quality defects, process variability, and downtime, and implement permanent countermeasures.
  • •Own engineering escalations end-to-end by triaging issues, coordinating with design/manufacturing/build reliability engineers, verifying fixes at the gemba, and documenting for traceability.
  • •Improve day-to-day waste reduction and line efficiency on flexible barrel lines by optimizing workflow, part flow, sequencing, workstation layout, and material presentation.
  • •Troubleshoot complex equipment and tooling issues, support repairs, and manage model/tooling changes to minimize disruption.
  • •Conduct quality inspections, enforce process standards, escalate non-conformances, and mentor technicians on best practices and standard work.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience (or a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, or science).
  • •Lead structured root-cause problem-solving (e.g., 5 Whys, A3, 8D) and implement permanent countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
  • •Hands-on experience with Lean tools such as 5S, waste elimination, value-stream thinking, Kanban, OEE, PFMEA, and poka-yoke.
  • •Strong data analysis skills (e.g., Excel, VBA, SQL) for downtime, quality, and efficiency metrics.
  • •Ability to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed, including physical demands like standing/walking up to 10 hours and lifting up to 25 lbs unassisted.
