Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and implement numerical models for materials, structures, or processes supporting Memory development and manufacturing challenges.
  • •Use algorithm development, numerical methods, and scientific computing to generate results for AMAIS programs.
  • •Apply machine learning and deep learning concepts (e.g., regression and neural networks) to modeling-related work.
  • •Collaborate with AMAIS team members on next steps while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • •Write reports and conference papers, and document results from modeling and simulations.

Key Requirements

  • •Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • •2+ years of modeling experience with algorithm development, numerical methods, and scientific computing.
  • •Strong background in thermodynamics, physics, and chemistry, including experience with wet processes (chemical etching/strip), material selectivity, and chemistry evaluation.
  • •Familiarity with computational materials science methodologies and process/multi-physics modeling and implementation.
  • •Hands-on coding and modeling: Bash, Python, FORTRAN, or C++, plus tools such as OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent, or COMSOL, and experience with ML/deep learning concepts.
