Key Responsibilities

  • •Be paired with an experienced engineer mentor and develop through training and regular support.
  • •Assist with traffic engineering designs across project stages, attending meetings and workshops with clients and other design professionals.
  • •Use software engineering tools such as AutoCAD/Civils3D and, when required, traffic modelling software including LINSIG, TRANSYT, and VISSIM.
  • •Work on road and street design, cycle lane design, bus priority/BRT design, streetscape improvements, traffic management planning and design, traffic signal and signage design, and traffic modelling (micro-simulation).
  • •As you develop, take on more responsibility managing projects from inception through completion.

Key Requirements

  • •BEng in Civil Engineering/General Engineering or BA/BSc Geography (2:1 or equivalent) or above.
  • •MEng in Civil Engineering/General Engineering (2:1 or equivalent) or MA/MSc Geography (2:1 or equivalent); MSc in Transport Planning or Masters in Mathematics is an advantage.
  • •Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive.
  • •Basic computer skills on Word and Excel are essential.
  • •Good report writing skills and the ability to structure and prioritise work effectively; able to work independently and in a team.
