Join the SDN team to build cross-layer intelligence for hyper-scale datacenter networks. You’ll work on network verification platforms covering emulation, control plane verification, and data plane verification, supporting large-scale network design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You’ll also conduct research and development on network traffic engineering platforms to optimize global traffic control and bandwidth management, contributing to highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

•Engage in research and development on network verification platforms, including network emulation, control plane verification, and data plane verification.
•Support network operators and architects with designing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting ByteDance’s large-scale data center networks.
•Conduct development and research on network traffic engineering platforms.
•Optimize global traffic control and network bandwidth management through research and development.
•Contribute to emerging technologies and future plans via internship research work.

Key Requirements

•Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
•Proficiency with one or several mainstream programming languages: Go, C++, and/or Python, with ability to develop distributed software.
•Quick learning and adaptability, with perseverance in studying technical details and good communication.
•Demonstrated networking research experience from previous internship, work experience, or publications.
•Research areas related to optimization, network traffic engineering, or network verification.
