Job Summary

Lead the Southern Mountain GIS team providing strategic technical guidance, project delivery oversight, and business development. Manage field investigations, spatial mapping and analysis, and the development of innovative GIS tools. Serve as a key advisor to project managers, ensure QA/QC, and mentor staff while collaborating with regulatory agencies and clients to deliver high-quality geospatial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide oversight and review for GIS surveys and reports from teams and field sites for project research and investigation.
•Ensure QA/QC procedures for research, data collection, and spatial data accuracy and portrayal of project areas.
•Lead and review GIS projects, including digital mapping, data merging, site condition verification, and validation of spatial data.
•Oversee literature/data analysis to identify and visualize primary, secondary, and tertiary impacts.
•Prepare GIS segments for survey reports, impact assessments, and permitting activities (e.g., CEQA, NEPA).

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Environmental Science, Planning, or a related field.
•10+ years of relevant post-education experience in GIS with prior GIS experience.
•Advanced proficiency with ESRI’s ArcGIS platform.
•Highly proficient expertise with spatial relationship techniques and geography for assigned projects.
•Ability to lead, review technical reports and deliverables with QA/QC discipline.
