Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a tow truck to provide towing service to customer vehicles at the DALA parking lot and other locations as needed.
  • •Operate a front-end loader to load/unload vehicles and move vehicles around the lot for auction shops.
  • •Affix towing equipment correctly to prevent vehicle damage or danger; haul vehicles to directed areas in a safe and courteous manner.
  • •Scan every towed vehicle using the TC75 to record its delivery location and assist with jump-starting, unlocking, or locating vehicles.
  • •Perform routine maintenance checks on the tow truck and front-end loader and operate in compliance with safety regulations; assist lot operations when not towing.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment, or 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • •Ability to pass an OSHA forklift/heavy equipment certification program with recertification every 3 years.
  • •Valid driver’s license and safe driving ability.
  • •Effective communication and organization skills, with a commitment to excellent customer service.
  • •Able to meet physical demands (standing/walking, bending, kneeling, climbing) and spend prolonged periods sitting in the cab of the loader.
