Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct the plant OHSE management system and initiatives, supporting safety, fire, environmental, industrial hygiene, construction, training, and security elements.
  • •Conduct OHSE audits/inspections and analysis to ensure employee safety and regulatory compliance; prepare and track action plans.
  • •Ensure risk assessments and job safety analyses are conducted as needed, and resolve identified hazards with relevant departments.
  • •Review and ensure completion of incident investigations; enter final reports into the corporate incident database and monitor contractors for safe work practices.
  • •Chair plant safety committee(s) and lead safety training and communication; maintain OSHA-required documentation and track training participation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety, or Safety Engineering.
  • •3+ years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment with increasing responsibility, preferably plastics.
  • •Experience conducting ergonomic analysis and using it in the workplace.
  • •Experience working with construction/contractors in a manufacturing environment.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reports and presentations, plus the ability to effectively communicate with plant and corporate personnel.
