Job Summary

Design and develop trustworthy AI components for space domain applications, exploring data-driven, symbolic, and hybrid AI approaches. Lead NLP/NLU tasks, multimodal human–machine dialogue, and machine learning experiments while ensuring data traceability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define functional requirements and deliver AI-enabled space solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and develop AI components for diverse domains within space applications, ensuring reliability and trustworthiness.
•Identify and evaluate cutting-edge AI technologies (machine learning, symbolic AI, dialogue) and tailor them to project needs.
•Work on Natural Language Processing and Understanding, plus multimodal human–machine dialog including intention understanding and reasoning.
•Apply machine learning techniques (causality, random forests, evolutionary algorithms) and symbolic AI methods (ontology, knowledge reasoning) to problem solving and optimization.
•Ensure data knowledge, traceability, and alignment with functional requirements while advocating for best engineering practices.

Key Requirements

•Master's degree in Engineering (PhD is a plus)
•Strong knowledge of mathematics, algorithms, and statistical methods
•Proficient in one or more AI approaches: data-driven AI, symbolic AI, or hybrid AI
•Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals
•Experience with AI/ML toolchains and ability to discuss with multidisciplinary teams
