Job Summary

Build and drive the company’s Quality Engineering strategy for the Pairs app, using AI agents to keep development fast while maintaining quality. Design and implement automated test foundations, test data, and CI/CD quality checks with continuous feedback. Own quality visibility via test coverage, execution status, defect detection and incident metrics, and use data to improve bottlenecks across engineering and architecture. Lead and grow the quality engineering team hands-on.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop the company’s Quality Engineering strategy and build development environments that preserve speed while ensuring quality with AI-agent-assisted development.
•Design and implement automated test foundations, test data, CI/CD quality checks, and continuous feedback mechanisms.
•Enable both developers and AI agents to detect change impact and quality issues early and route them to fixes.
•Continuously measure and visualize quality via test coverage, test execution status, defect detection rate, defect leakage to production, and incidents.
•Lead quality engineering team management (hiring, goal setting, evaluation) and hands-on technology selection, design, implementation, and reviews while partnering with Product and development teams on quality signals and metrics.

Key Requirements

•Software engineering and/or test automation experience as a SDET, QA Engineer, or Quality Engineer.
•Experience designing and implementing tests for web, mobile, or backend systems.
•Hands-on test automation knowledge across multiple layers (unit, integration, E2E, API).
•Experience integrating automated tests and quality checks into CI/CD pipelines and building test foundations and developer tools.
•Experience analyzing quality metrics (coverage, defect/incident, release quality) and driving improvements across teams and stakeholders.
