Key Responsibilities

•Analyze existing design solutions for power transmission between the Fenestron rear rotor gearbox and the hub body (Splined Flange).
•Identify critical construction aspects using learnings from prior development, manufacturing, and flight operations.
•Capture and structure stakeholder requirements (e.g., structural mechanics, strength, loads, dynamics, gearbox).
•Develop and refine appropriate design solutions and select a concept for detailed development.
•Evaluate concepts versus existing designs using manufacturing cost and weight estimates, create a test strategy, and outline certification outlook.

Key Requirements

•Enrolled full-time student (d/m/w) in mechanical engineering, engineering, aeronautics, or a comparable field.
•Initial practical experience with 3D CAD design tools such as CATIA V5.
•Good understanding of mechanical systems.
•Solution-oriented mindset with “Welcome Problem Attitude” and curiosity.
•Fluent in German and English; able to work independently and in an international, cross-functional environment.
