Job Summary

Supervise day-to-day subsurface utility engineering (SUE) field operations, leading multiple field crews and ensuring safety and quality standards are followed. Own field crew scheduling across diverse projects and keep work aligned to scope, schedule, and budget. Interpret utility drawings and GIS records, manage utility records requests, and perform or QA/QC geophysical locating and surveying using tools like GPR, GPS, and Total Station equipment.

•Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of multiple field crews across numerous projects.
•Create and maintain field crew schedules and ensure adherence to communicated schedule and budget.
•Read and interpret utility drawings, as-builts, GIS files, and other utility record data.
•Initiate, track, and document utility records requests with utility one-call centers and utility owners/operators.
•Utilize geophysical equipment and surveying tools to locate utilities, perform field audits, and complete QA/QC of SUE field data.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•BS degree plus 4 years of experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
•Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and/or private utility locating experience with a commitment to quality and attention to detail.
•Experience and understanding of SUE practices and procedures in accordance with ASCE 38-02 and 38-22.
•Frequent travel to field locations, including overnight travel.
•Valid U.S. Driver’s License and ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds unassisted.
